It’s our Hero of the Year‘s 16th birthday! Those of you that have followed us since the beginning know that Malala Yousafzai has been an inspiration for us since the Taliban forced her into international consciousness by trying to assassinate her for insisting on the right to an education.

We are delighted that she is celebrating her birthday against all odds (being shot point blank in the head) and refuses to be silenced. Just a teenager, she embodies our guiding principles of excellence, responsibility, authenticity and inspiration.

Here she is addressing the United Nations today, which the UN has declared Malala Day. You can see the progress she has made even in the last few months.

We continue to be inspired by her grace and her power, and we thank those of you that helped us contribute to her cause.
